Can the ImageLifter™ trolley be used in my mortuary?

YES – the superior “Linear Actuator” incorporated into the ImageLifter™ to raise and lower the trolley (instead of hydraulics) allows easy use in many situations in and around your funeral parlor, chapel and mortuary.

Why is the Linear Actuator superior to hydraulics?

The Linear Actuator works on the principle of mechanics electrically powered by two enclosed 240v batteries and portable.

This means that you do not use hydraulic fluids that with time, wear and tear, these fluids begin to leak thereby causing the possibility of slipping hazards in your workplace. In addition to this advantage a push button control is all the effort required to raise and lower your trolley again eliminating the cumbersome pumping by hand or foot of a hydraulic unit.

Can my ImageLifter™ trolley be hosed down in the case of soiling from bodily fluids?

YES – your superior ImageLifter™ can be completely washed down by simply removing the battery pack first.

Can I remove body trays or coffins sideways off of the ImageLifter™?

YES – the four smooth gliding rollers in the top have been exclusively designed for removal by smoothly gliding forward / back and sideways.

To save me money and resources, can one person use the ImageLifter™ to move the body or coffin?

YES – the ImageLifter™ has been designed and created by a funeral director for this very purpose.

How do I stop the coffin from rolling off of the ImageLifter™ trolley?

Another Linear Actuator has been installed to activate a large thick rubber covered braking device that by the press of a button, is raised up under the coffin or body tray at the heaviest head end to secure it.

Will this stop the coffin from rolling off if the trolley is being used on a gradient?

YES – as long as you use intelligent caution.

How do control the movement of the ImageLifter™ trolley?

The ImageLifter trolley™ has two castor brakes at the head end to securely lock your trolley and a directional lock on a front castor to assist you with forward directional movement.

How many lifts can the ImageLifter™ do before it requires recharging?

Up to 150 lifts which is more than a day’s work depending on how you use it.

How will I know when the battery needs recharging?

The battery has an orange low charge warning light. Do not use the ImageLifter™ if this light is on.

Can I place the battery on charge overnight?

YES – the superior batteries do not have a “memory” thus allowing for recharging at any time.

NB: it is suggested that a written procedures policy for recharging and use of your ImageLifter™ trolley be placed in a prominent area for staff that states “that at the end of every day a selected person has the duty of plugging in your ImageLifter™ trolley to save the issues that a flat battery could cause.  It must be said however that the trolley rollers would still be useable at the height previously selected to get you out of a situation, but you shouldn’t attempt to raise or lower the unit on a flat battery as to do so would cause damage.

The concept of the detachable design panels is brilliant. How do I attach them?

This is the best part of the ImageLifter™ and how it got its name. The outer design panels have very strong magnets embedded in the material that attract to the metal frame of your ImageLifter™ and then you just pop the lid on to encapsulate the sides, exposing the rollers and you are ready to go.

How do I attach the photos?

When your printer creates your photo you attach some double sided tape to the back of the print and press a magnet onto it to line up with the magnet in the framed areas of the panels (Suggestion; present this photo to your client after the service; you will be remembered!!)

CAUTION:  your trolley has a limit switch built-in that will stop your trolley from lowering  below 700mm (viewing and service height) while the design panels are attached. This is to protect your design panels from being damaged.  You can still raise your ImageLifter™ with the panels attached.

NB for trolleys purchased without the design panels there is no limit switch and your ImageLifter™ trolley will travel up and down without stopping at 700mm.

How do I lower the trolley beyond 700mm?

Easy, you just remove the design panels, if they are attached, and press the override switch located on the side of the switch box at the same time as pressing the lowering switch.  This allows your ImageLifter™ trolley to completely lower to 435mm.

If there is a coffin on the top of your trolley and need to lower it this can be done by:

1.

2.
Raising the ImageLifter™ enough to safely remove the side panels completely and activating the override switch whilst pressing the down switch. NB the override switch is designed to be hidden behind the design panels for protection from damage.

Roll the coffin off for storage and then remove the lid.

How do I store my ImageLifter™ panels?

To avoid damage and give you years of service, store your design panels in a safe cool place.  Do not leave your ImageLifter™ design panels out in extreme heat for any extended time as this could cause warping.  Your ImageLifter™ design panels have been designed for indoor use however, they can be safely used for outdoor services but you must take them inside as soon as possible after the service to protect them. Your warranty does not cover misuse.

What do I do if my design panels become warped from the heat?

Place them design side down on a flat cool surface to reshape.
